FAQs

Power gained through boons is conditional and often fuels pride and oppression; the Purāṇic ethic warns that unchecked power (aiśvarya) without dharma leads to adharma and eventual downfall.

Vamśānucarita / Carita: narrative of prominent beings (here, an Asura’s rise through boons) that sets up later cosmic-political conflict between Devas and Daityas.

The catalog of immunities (from beings and elements) symbolizes egoic attempts to ‘seal off’ vulnerability; Purāṇas typically imply that such protections still contain a dharmic loophole—fate and divine order cannot be fully bypassed.
