ये तु संस्मृत्य मनुजाः कपालं मम सद्द्विज । तत्र श्राद्धं करिष्यंति ते नरा मुक्तिसंयुताः । श्राद्धपक्षे विशेषेण प्रयास्यंति परांगतिम्
ye tu saṃsmṛtya manujāḥ kapālaṃ mama saddvija | tatra śrāddhaṃ kariṣyaṃti te narā muktisaṃyutāḥ | śrāddhapakṣe viśeṣeṇa prayāsyaṃti parāṃgatim
എന്നാൽ ഹേ സദ്ദ്വിജ, എന്റെ കപാലം സ്മരിച്ചു അവിടെ ശ്രാദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യർ മുക്തിയോടെ യുക്തരാകും. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ശ്രാദ്ധപക്ഷത്തിൽ (പിതൃപക്ഷത്തിൽ) അവർ പരമഗതി പ്രാപിക്കും.
