घृटं स्नाने खलु घृतं घृतं यावेति मंत्रतः । मधुवाता मधुनक्तं मधुमान्न इति त्र् यृचा

Transliteration

ghṛṭaṃ snāne khalu ghṛtaṃ ghṛtaṃ yāveti maṃtrataḥ | madhuvātā madhunaktaṃ madhumānna iti tr yṛcā

Translation

സ്നാനസമയത്ത് ‘ഘൃതം—ഘൃതം’ എന്നു ജപിച്ച് ‘ഘൃതം യാവേ’ മന്ത്രത്താൽ ആവാഹനം ചെയ്യണം; കൂടാതെ ‘മധുവാതാ’, ‘മധുനക്തം’, ‘മധുമാൻ നഃ’ എന്നീ മൂന്ന് ഋക്കുകളാൽ സ്നാനം സംസ്കരിക്കണം, അങ്ങനെ വൈദിക മാധുര്യവും ശുദ്ധിയും കൊണ്ടു ദേഹം ശിവപൂജയ്ക്ക് യോഗ്യമാകും.
