In Shaiva practice, purity of conduct supports effective worship: restraint stabilizes the mind for mantra-japa and Linga-upāsanā, turning devotion toward Saguna Shiva rather than toward sense-objects.
Maintain brahmacarya and practice steady japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with sense-restraint; this is the practical takeaway rather than an external rite.
