The Account of Śambhu’s Incarnation that Dispels Doubts Concerning Women

Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana’s account; the verse itself reads as a first-person confession by a character within the story)

It teaches that prosperity and inner stability (aiśvarya) are sustained by right alignment with Pati—Lord Śiva—and that neglect or violation of Śiva-pūjā bears karmic consequences across births, while relationships can continue through rebirth according to karma.
Śiva-pūjā here points to concrete devotional observance—classically expressed through Saguna worship such as Liṅga-arcana—where reverence, purity of intention, and non-negligence are essential; transgression in worship is presented as a direct cause for loss of worldly and spiritual support.
Maintain steady daily Śiva-pūjā with repentance for lapses, japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and simple Liṅga worship with water/abhisheka—performed consistently and without disrespect or omission.
