Sthala Purana: The verse continues the worldly-social setting: artistic mastery and royal delight. In Siddhānta reading, such acclaim can function as a subtle pāśa (bondage through fame/pleasure), preparing for Śiva’s redirection toward higher bliss.
It highlights how refined arts like music can become a vehicle of bhakti—when beauty and skill are offered in devotion, they uplift minds and soften hearts toward Shiva’s grace.
In Saguna Shiva worship, offerings include not only flowers and incense but also sound—stotra, kīrtana, and geya. The verse supports the idea that sacred sound can please and focus devotees, preparing the mind for Linga-dhyāna.
Devotional singing or recitation (kīrtana/stotra) as a daily upacāra—ideally alongside japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” to steady attention and evoke inner joy.
