It celebrates Shiva’s direct self-manifestation (svayam Haraḥ) and teaches that divine darśana is both purifying (śuci) and a rare grace (bhāgya), awakening bhakti through recognition of His auspicious marks and radiance.
The verse emphasizes Saguna Shiva—Hara appearing with perceivable form and tejas—affirming that devotees may approach the transcendent (Nirguna) through tangible revelation, whether as the Linga (icon of presence) or as a manifest divine form granting darśana.
A practical takeaway is darśana-bhāvanā: contemplate Shiva’s tejas and auspicious form while repeating the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating purity and gratitude for His grace.
