गोकर्णे शिवलिंगानां तीर्थानामपि सर्वशः । वर्ण्यते महिमा तात पुराणेषु महर्षिभिः
gokarṇe śivaliṃgānāṃ tīrthānāmapi sarvaśaḥ | varṇyate mahimā tāta purāṇeṣu maharṣibhiḥ
പ്രിയമേ, ഗോകർണത്തിൽ ശിവലിംഗങ്ങളുടെയും സർവ്വ തീർത്ഥങ്ങളുടെയും മഹിമ എല്ലായിടത്തും പാടപ്പെടുന്നു; മഹർഷിമാർ പുരാണങ്ങളിൽ വർണ്ണിച്ചതുപോലെ.
