Śiva-jñāna and the Non-dual Vision of a Śiva-maya Universe (शिवज्ञानम्—सर्वं शिवमयम्)

यथाग्निर्व्यापकश्चैव काष्ठेकाष्ठे च तिष्ठति । यो वै मंथति तत्काष्ठं स वै पश्यत्यसंशयम्

yathāgnirvyāpakaścaiva kāṣṭhekāṣṭhe ca tiṣṭhati | yo vai maṃthati tatkāṣṭhaṃ sa vai paśyatyasaṃśayam

അഗ്നി സർവ്വവ്യാപിയായിട്ടും ഓരോ മരക്കഷണത്തിനുള്ളിലും മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, പ്രഭുവും എല്ലായിടത്തും അധിഷ്ഠിതനാണ്. എന്നാൽ ആ മരത്തെ മഥിക്കുന്നവൻ—അഥവാ ശാസ്ത്രീയസാധന ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ—നിസ്സംശയം അവനെ ദർശിക്കുന്നു.

It teaches that Shiva, the indwelling Pati, is present everywhere like fire latent in wood; realization arises through sincere sadhana—mantra, meditation, and devotion—rather than mere intellectual belief.

The Linga is the visible support for worship that helps the devotee ‘churn’ the mind through puja and japa; by Saguna upasana, one is led to recognize Shiva’s subtle, all-pervading presence within all beings.
