रावणस्य तपः-शिवानुग्रहः — Rāvaṇa’s Austerity and Śiva’s Bestowal of Grace
स्ववृत्तं ब्रूह्यशेषेण शिवाराधनसंभवम् । इति पृष्टस्तदा तेन रावणो वाक्यमब्रवीत्
svavṛttaṃ brūhyaśeṣeṇa śivārādhanasaṃbhavam | iti pṛṣṭastadā tena rāvaṇo vākyamabravīt
അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ശിവാരാധനയിൽ നിന്നു ഉദ്ഭവിച്ച നിന്റെ സ്വവൃത്താന്തം മുഴുവനായി പറയുക.” ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദിക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ, അപ്പോൾ രാവണൻ സംസാരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി।
