taddinaṃ hi samārabhya siṃhasthe ca bṛhaspatau | āyāṃti sarvatīrthāni kṣetrāṇi devatāni ca

Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Jyotirlinga: Tryambakeśvara
Sthala Purana: From the founding moment, a recurring cosmic-astrological trigger is given: when Bṛhaspati (Jupiter) enters Siṃha (Leo), all tīrthas, kṣetras, and devatās converge at Gautamī–Tryambaka—an archetype for the Siṃhastha/Kumbha gathering at Nāśik–Trimbak.
Significance: Marks the auspicious Siṃhastha period when bathing and worship are believed to yield multiplied merit due to the ‘confluence’ of all tīrthas and divine presences.
Cosmic Event: Bṛhaspati in Siṃha (Jupiter transiting Leo): Siṃhastha/Kumbha convergence motif
The verse teaches that certain sacred times intensify the presence and merit of a holy place—so pilgrimage, worship, and remembrance of Shiva performed then become especially fruitful for purification and liberation-oriented devotion.
In the Kotirudrasaṃhitā’s Jyotirlinga context, the ‘arrival’ of all tīrthas and deities underscores the concentrated sanctity of the kṣetra where Shiva is worshiped in Saguna form as the Jyotirlinga, making darśana, abhiṣeka, and japa particularly efficacious.
Undertake tīrtha-snāna and perform Shiva-pūjā—especially linga-abhiṣeka—along with Panchākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and a simple vow of purity and devotion during the auspicious Jupiter-in-Leo period.
