Avanti Brahmin Narrative and Prelude to the Third Jyotirliṅga
इति श्रीशिवमहापुराणे चतुर्थ्यां कोटिरुद्रसंहितायां महाकालज्योतिर्लिंगमाहात्म्यवर्णनं नाम षोडशोऽध्यायः
iti śrīśivamahāpurāṇe caturthyāṃ koṭirudrasaṃhitāyāṃ mahākālajyotirliṃgamāhātmyavarṇanaṃ nāma ṣoḍaśo'dhyāyaḥ
ഇങ്ങനെ ശ്രീശിവ മഹാപുരാണത്തിലെ നാലാം കോടിരുദ്രസംഹിതയിൽ ‘മഹാകാല ജ്യോതിര്ലിംഗ മഹാത്മ്യവർണനം’ എന്ന പേരിലുള്ള പതിനാറാം അധ്യായം സമാപ്തമായി।

As a chapter-ending marker, it indirectly points to Jyotirliṅga-centered sādhana: pilgrimage (tīrtha-yātrā), liṅga abhiṣeka, and japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” especially in Mahākāla’s context.
