svakakṣayoḥ samālipya vyatyastābhyāmathānyayā | pāṇibhyāñca mṛdā śiṣyassumatirdṛḍhamānasaḥ

അനന്തരം ദൃഢമനസ്സുള്ള ശിഷ്യൻ സുമതി, ഇരുകൈകളും പരസ്പരം ക്രോസാക്കി, മറ്റുകൈകൊണ്ടും, പവിത്ര മൃദു (വിഭൂതി/മണ്ണ്) തന്റെ കക്ഷങ്ങളിൽ (കൈക്കുഴികളിൽ) ഭക്തിയോടെ ലേപിച്ചു।
