विदद्यत्पूर्व्यं नष्टमुदीमृतायुमीरयत् । प्रेमायुस्तारीदतीर्णम् ॥

vídad yát pū́rvyaṃ náṣṭam úd īm ṛta-yúm ī́rayat | prém ā́yus tārīd átīrṇam ||

അവൻ പൂർവ്വകാലം മുതൽ നഷ്ടമായിരുന്ന പൂർവ്യ (പ്രാചീന)ത്തെ കണ്ടെത്തുമ്പോൾ, ഋത (സത്യ-ക്രമം) പ്രകാരം സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ആത്മാവിനെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; ആയു (ജീവൻ)യെ മുന്നോട്ട് നയിച്ച്, അതീർണ (ഇനിയും കടക്കാത്ത)തിനെ കടത്തിപ്പാർപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
