Hanuman Enters Lanka and Encounters Laṅkā-devatā
का त्वं विरूपनयना पुरद्वारेऽवतिष्ठसि।किमर्थं चापि मां रुद्ध्वा निर्भर्त्सयसि दारुणा।।।।
kā tvaṃ virūpa-nayanā pura-dvāre ’vatiṣṭhasi | kim-arthaṃ cāpi māṃ ruddhvā nirbhartsayasi dāruṇā ||
ഹേ വികൃതനേത്രങ്ങളുള്ള ഭയങ്കരിയേ, നഗരദ്വാരത്തിൽ നില്ക്കുന്ന നീ ആരാണ്? എന്നെ തടഞ്ഞിട്ട് എന്തിനാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ ക്രൂരമായി ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്?
