Sita’s Lament and Prophecy of Lanka’s Ruin
यदि नाम स शूरो मां रामो रक्तान्तलोचनः।जानीयाद्वर्तमानां हि रावणस्य निवेशने।।5.26.33।।अनेन तु नृशंसेन रावणेनाधमेन मे।समयो यस्तु निर्दिष्टस्तस्य कालोऽयमागतः।।5.26.34।।स च मे विहितो मृत्युरस्मिन् दुष्टे न वर्तते।
anena tu nṛśaṃsena rāvaṇenādhamena me |
samayo yastu nirdiṣṭas tasya kālo ’yam āgataḥ ||
sa ca me vihito mṛtyur asmin duṣṭe na vartate ||
എന്നാൽ ഈ ക്രൂരനും അധമനുമായ രാവണൻ എനിക്കായി നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയപരിധി ഇപ്പോൾ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ എനിക്കായി വിധിച്ച മരണം എനിക്കെ മാത്രം ഒതുങ്ങുകയില്ല—അത് ആ ദുഷ്ടനിൽ തന്നെയാകും പതിക്കുക.
