Sita’s Lament and Prophecy of Lanka’s Ruin
प्रसक्ताश्रुमुखीत्यवं ब्रुवन्ती जनकात्मजा।आधोगतमुखी बाला विलप्तुमुपचक्रमे।।।।
prasaktāśru-mukhīty evaṁ bruvantī janakātmajā | ādhogata-mukhī bālā vilaptum upacakrame || 5.26.1 ||
ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ജനകാത്മജ—അവിച്ഛിന്നമായ കണ്ണുനീരാൽ നനഞ്ഞ മുഖത്തോടെ, തല താഴ്ത്തിയ ആ ബാല—ഉച്ചത്തിൽ വിലപിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി।
