अशोकवनिकायां सीतादर्शनम्
Sita Seen in the Ashoka Grove
अबलां मृगशाबाक्षीं वीक्षमाणां ततस्ततः।।।।बाष्पाम्बुपरिपूर्णेन कृष्णवक्राक्षिपक्ष्मणा।वदनेनाप्रसन्नेन निःश्वसन्तीं पुनः पुनः।।।।
abalāṃ mṛgaśābākṣīṃ vīkṣamāṇāṃ tatas tataḥ | bāṣpāmbuparipūrṇena kṛṣṇavakrākṣipakṣmaṇā | vadanenāprasannena niḥśvasantīṃ punaḥ punaḥ ||
അശക്തയായ, മാൻകുട്ടിപോലെയുള്ള കണ്ണുകളുള്ള ആ ദേവി ഇടയ്ക്കിടെ ഇവിടെ അവിടെ നോക്കി; കറുത്ത വളഞ്ഞ കൺപീലികൾക്കു കീഴെ കണ്ണുകൾ കണ്ണുനീർജലത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു, മുഖം പ്രസന്നമല്ല, അവൾ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും നെടുവീർപ്പിട്ടു.
