रावणान्तःपुर-पानभूमि-विचयः

न हि मे परदाराणां दृष्टिर्विषयवर्तिनी।।5.11.38।।अयं चात्र मया दृष्टः परदारापरिग्रहः।

na hi me para-dārāṇāṃ dṛṣṭir viṣaya-vartinī || 5.11.38 || ayaṃ cātra mayā dṛṣṭaḥ para-dārāparigrahaḥ |

“മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരോടുള്ള എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി വിഷയവാസനയാൽ പ്രേരിതമല്ല; ഇവിടെ ഞാൻ ചെയ്തത് ഇത്രമാത്രം—അവരെ കണ്ടുവെന്നേ ഉള്ളൂ, സ്വന്തമാക്കാനുള്ള ഉദ്ദേശമില്ലാതെ.”
