पश्चिमदिशि अन्वेषणादेशः
Instructions for the Western Search Party
तानि नीडानि सिंहानां गिरिशृङ्गगताश्च ये।दृप्तास्तृप्ताश्च मातङ्गास्तोयदस्वननिस्वनाः।।4.42.17।।विचरन्ति विशालेऽस्मिंस्तोयपूर्णे समन्ततः।
tāni nīḍāni siṃhānāṃ giriśṛṅgagatāś ca ye |
dṛptās tṛptāś ca mātaṅgās toyadasvananisvanāḥ ||4.42.17||
vicaranti viśāle 'smiṃs toyapūrṇe samantataḥ |
പർവ്വതശിഖരങ്ങളിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ആ സിംഹങ്ങളുടെ കൂടുകളിലും ചുറ്റിലും, ഇടിമേഘങ്ങളുടെ ഗർജ്ജനപോലെ മുഴങ്ങുന്ന, ദർപ്പിതരും തൃപ്തരുമായ മാതംഗങ്ങൾ ആ വിശാലമായ ജലപൂർണ്ണ പ്രദേശത്ത് എല്ലാടവും സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
