Sugriva’s Remorse and Tara’s Lament after Vali’s Death
स्वर्गेऽपि पद्मामलपत्रनेत्रस्समेत्य सम्प्रेक्ष्य च मामपश्यन्।न ह्येष उच्चावचताम्रचूडाविचित्रवेषाप्सरसोऽभजिष्यत्।।।।
svarge 'pi padmāmalapatranetraḥ sametya samprīkṣya ca mām apaśyan | na hy eṣa uccāvacatāmracūḍā vicitraveṣāpsaraso 'bhajiṣyat ||
സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്കും പദ്മദളസമാനമായ നിർമ്മലനേത്രങ്ങളുള്ള വാലി എത്തി ചുറ്റും നോക്കി എന്നെ കാണാതിരുന്നാൽ, ചുവന്ന പുഷ്പങ്ങളാൽ അലങ്കരിച്ച മുടിയോടും വിചിത്രവേഷാഭരണങ്ങളോടും ദീപ്തമായ അപ്സരസ്സുകളിലേക്കും അവൻ തിരിയുകയില്ല.
