दात्यूहरतिविक्रन्दैः पुंस्कोकिलरुतैरपि।स्वनन्ति पादपाश्चेमे ममानङ्गप्रदीपनाः।।।।

Transliteration

dātyūha-rati-vikrandaiḥ puṁs-kokila-rutair api |

svananti pādapāś ceme mamānaṅga-pradīpanāḥ ||

Translation

ദാത്യൂഹങ്ങളുടെ പ്രണയക്രന്ദനങ്ങളാലും ആൺകുയിലുകളുടെ കൂജനങ്ങളാലും ഈ വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ മുഴങ്ങുന്നു; ആ ശബ്ദങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ കാമദേവനെ ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
