तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा कबन्धस्य दुरात्मनः।।।।उवाच लक्ष्मणं रामो मुखेन परिशुष्यता।

tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā kabandhasya durātmanaḥ |

uvāca lakṣmaṇaṃ rāmo mukhena pariśuṣyatā ||

ദുഷ്ടബുദ്ധിയായ കബന്ധന്റെ ആ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട്, വായ് വരണ്ടുപോയ രാമൻ ലക്ഷ്മണനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
