सीतावियोगे रामविलापः

Rama’s Lament in Separation from Sita

लोकेषु सर्वेषु च नास्ति किञ्चिद्यत्ते न नित्यं विदितं भवेत्तत्।शंसस्व वायो कुलशालिनीं तां हृता मृता वा पथि वर्तते वा।।।।

lokeṣu sarveṣu ca nāsti kiñcid yat te na nityaṁ viditaṁ bhavet tat |

śaṁsasva vāyo kulaśālinīṁ tāṁ hṛtā mṛtā vā pathi vartate vā ||

ഹേ വായോ! സർവ്വലോകങ്ങളിലും നിനക്കു നിത്യമായി അറിയാത്തതായി ഒന്നുമില്ല. ആ കുലശാലിനിയായ സ്ത്രീയെക്കുറിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞു തരിക—അവൾ അപഹരിക്കപ്പെട്ടോ, മരിച്ചോ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വഴിയിൽ എവിടെയെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടോ?
