मारीचवधोत्तरं रामस्य शङ्का-निमित्त-दर्शनं लक्ष्मण-निग्रहश्च

न मेऽस्ति संशयो वीर सर्वथा जनकात्मजा।।।।विनष्टा भक्षिता वापि राक्षसैर्वनचारिभिः।अशुभान्येव भूयिष्ठं यथा प्रादुर्भवन्ति मे।।।।
na me ’sti saṃśayo vīra sarvathā janakātmajā |
vinaṣṭā bhakṣitā vāpi rākṣasair vanacāribhiḥ |
aśubhāny eva bhūyiṣṭhaṃ yathā prādurbhavanti me ||
ഹേ വീരാ, എനിക്ക് സംശയമില്ല—ജനകനന്ദിനി തീർച്ചയായും വിനഷ്ടയായി; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വനത്തിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന രാക്ഷസന്മാർ അവളെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കാം. കാരണം അശുഭ നിമിത്തങ്ങൾ എനിക്ക് വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ധാരാളമായി പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നു.
