जटायुरावणयुद्धम्
Jatayu’s Combat with Ravana
स भग्नधन्वा विरथो हताश्वो हतसारथिः।अङ्केनादाय वैदेहीं पपात भुवि रावणः।।।।
sa bhagnadhanvā viratho hatāśvo hatasārathiḥ | aṅkenādāya vaidehīṁ papāta bhuvi rāvaṇaḥ ||
ധനുസ്സ് തകർന്നു, രഥം നശിച്ചു, അശ്വങ്ങൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു, സാരഥിയും വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; എന്നിരുന്നാലും വൈദേഹിയെ മടിയിൽ ചേർത്തുപിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് രാവണൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ വീണു.
With the bow broken, the chariot destroyed, asses (drawing the chariot) and the charioteer dead, Ravana fell down on the ground holding Vaidehi on his lap.
