शरभङ्गाश्रमगमनम् तथा इन्द्रदर्शनम्

इहोपयात्यसौ रामो यावन्मां नाभिभाषते।निष्ठां नयतु तावत्तु ततो मा द्रष्टुमर्हति।।3.5.22।।जितवन्तं कृतार्थं हि तदाहमचिरादिमम्।कर्म ह्यनेन कर्तव्यं महदन्यैस्सुदुष्करम्।।3.5.23।।
ihopayāty asau rāmo yāvan māṃ nābhibhāṣate |
niṣṭhāṃ nayatu tāvat tu tato mā draṣṭum arhati || 3.5.22 ||
jitavantaṃ kṛtārthaṃ hi tadāham acirād imam |
karma hy anena kartavyaṃ mahad anyaiḥ suduṣkaram || 3.5.23 ||
“ഈ രാമൻ ഇവിടെ വരുന്നു. അവൻ എന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിന് മുമ്പേ, അവൻ എന്നെ കാണാത്തവിധം എന്നെ മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകുക. പിന്നെ അവൻ ഉടൻ തന്നെ തന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യം സാധിച്ച് വിജയിയും കൃതാർത്ഥനുമായാൽ, ഞാൻ അവനെ കാണും; കാരണം അവനാൽ ചെയ്യേണ്ട ഒരു മഹത്തായ കര്മ്മം ഇനിയും ശേഷിക്കുന്നു—മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് അത്യന്തം ദുഷ്കരം.”
