रावणस्यात्मप्रशंसा लङ्कावर्णनं च

Ravana’s Self-Praise and the Description of Lanka

मम सञ्जातरोषस्य मुखं दृष्ट्वैव मैथिलि।विद्रवन्ति परित्रस्तास्सुराश्शक्रपुरोगमाः।।।।

mama sañjāta-roṣasya mukhaṃ dṛṣṭvaiva maithili |

vidravanti paritrastāḥ surāḥ śakra-purogamāḥ ||

മൈഥിലീ, എനിക്ക് ക്രോധം ഉദിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ മുഖം മാത്രം കണ്ടാൽ പോലും, ശക്രൻ (ഇന്ദ്രൻ) മുൻപന്തിയിലുള്ള ദേവന്മാരും ഭീതിയിൽ ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.
