मारीचवधः — The Slaying of Maricha

Golden Deer Deception

गृहीतुकामं दृष्ट्वैवं पुनरेवाभ्यधावत।तत्क्षणादेव संत्रासात्पुनरन्तर्हितोऽभवत्।।।।

gṛhītukāmaṃ dṛṣṭvaivaṃ punar evābhyadhāvata | tatkṣaṇād eva saṃtrāsāt punar antarhito 'bhavat ||

രാമൻ പിടിക്കുവാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ആ മൃഗം വീണ്ടും ഓടി; അതേ നിമിഷം ഭയത്താൽ വീണ്ടും കാഴ്ചയിൽ നിന്ന് അപ്രത്യക്ഷമായി.
