उत्पातदर्शनं खरसैन्यसमागमश्च
Omens of calamity and the approach of Khara’s army
वितत्य च धनुर्भीमं तूण्याश्चोद्धृत्य सायकान्।क्रोधमाहारयत्तीव्रं वधार्थं सर्वरक्षसाम्।।।।
vitatya ca dhanur bhīmaṃ tūṇyāś coddhṛtya sāyakān | krodham āhārayat tīvrāṃ vadhārthaṃ sarvarakṣasām ||
അപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം ഭീകരമായ ധനുസ്സു വലിച്ചു കെട്ടി, തൂണിയിൽ നിന്നു ശരം എടുത്തു, സർവ്വരാക്ഷസന്മാരുടെ വധാർത്ഥം തീക്ഷ്ണക്രോധം ധരിച്ചു.
Rama stretched the formidable bow and lifted the arrows from his quiver to kill the demons and assumed intense anger.
Dharma permits force when it is protective and restorative—anger is disciplined into righteous action against those who violate moral order.
Rama arms himself and mentally commits to battle as the rākṣasa forces close in.
