उत्पातदर्शनं खरसैन्यसमागमश्च
Omens of calamity and the approach of Khara’s army
स तेनाग्नि निकाशेन कवचेन विभूषितः।बभूव राम स्तिमिरे विधूमोऽग्निरिवोत्थितः।।।।
sa tenāgni-nikāśena kavacena vibhūṣitaḥ | babhūva rāmaḥ stimire vidhūmo 'gnir ivotthitaḥ ||
അഗ്നിസദൃശമായ ആ കവചം ധരിച്ചു അലങ്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ട രാമൻ, ഇരുട്ടിൽ പുകരഹിതമായ അഗ്നി ഉയരുന്നതുപോലെ ദീപ്തനായി തിളങ്ങി.
