Surpanakha Approaches Rama

इत्येवमुक्तः काकुत्स्थः प्रहस्य मदिरेक्षणाम्।।।।इदं वचनमारेभे वक्तुं वाक्यविशारदः।

ity evam uktaḥ kākutsthaḥ prahasya madirekṣaṇām | idaṃ vacanam ārebhe vaktuṃ vākyaviśāradaḥ |

ഇങ്ങനെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട കാകുത്സ്ഥൻ ശ്രീരാമൻ, മദിരാസമമായ മയക്കുന്ന കണ്ണുകളുള്ള അവളെ നോക്കി പുഞ്ചിരിച്ച്, വാക്കുകളിൽ നിപുണനായവൻ ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ പറയാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
