jarājarjaritaiḥ padmaiḥ śīrṇakesarakarṇikaiḥ |

nālaśeṣair himadhvastair na bhānti kamalākarāḥ ||

Translation

ഇപ്പോൾ കമലാകരങ്ങൾ തിളങ്ങുന്നില്ല; താമരകൾ ജരയാൽ ജീർണ്ണമായി, അവയുടെ കേസരവും കർണികയും വാടിപ്പോയി; നാളുകൾ മാത്രം ശേഷിച്ച് ഹിമം അവയെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു.
