स तं रुचिरमाक्रम्य देशमाश्रमकर्मणि।हस्तौ गृहीत्वा हस्तेन रामस्सौमित्रिमब्रवीत्।।।।

Transliteration

sa taṃ ruciram ākramya deśam āśrama-karmaṇi |

hastau gṛhītvā hastena rāmaḥ saumitrim abravīt ||

Translation

ആശ്രമസ്ഥാപനത്തിനുയോജ്യമായ ആ മനോഹരദേശത്തെത്തിയ രാമൻ, സൗമിത്രി (ലക്ഷ്മണൻ)യുടെ ഇരുകൈകളും തന്റെ കൈകളിൽ പിടിച്ചു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
