कञ्चित्कालं स धर्मात्मा सीतया लक्ष्मणेन च।अन्वास्यमानो न्यवसत्स्वर्गलोके यथामरः।।।।
kañcit kālaṃ sa dharmātmā sītayā lakṣmaṇena ca |
anvāsyamāno nyavasat svarga-loke yathāmaraḥ ||
കുറെകാലം ധർമ്മാത്മാവായ അദ്ദേഹം സീതയുടെയും ലക്ഷ്മണന്റെയും ശുശ്രൂഷയോടെ അവരാൽ അനുഗമിക്കപ്പെട്ട്, സ്വർഗ്ഗലോകത്തിലെ അമരനെപ്പോലെ അവിടെ പാർത്തു.
Having come to a beautiful spot suitable for the asram, Rama took both the hands of Lakshmana in his own and said:
Dharma appears as harmony sustained by righteousness: when the leader is dhārmic and companions serve with sincerity, even forest-exile becomes ‘heaven-like’ in spirit.
The sarga concludes by describing their settled life for a period—Rāma living as a dhārmic ascetic-householder, attended by Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa.
