दशमः सर्गः — Rama’s Vow to Protect the Sages of Daṇḍaka
Dharma of Refuge
सदृशं चानुरूपं च कुलस्य तव चात्मनः।सधर्मचारिणी मे त्वं प्राणेभ्योऽपि गरीयसी।।।।
sadṛśaṁ cānurūpaṁ ca kulasya tava cātmanaḥ |
sadharmacāriṇī me tvaṁ prāṇebhyo 'pi garīyasī ||
നിന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ നിന്റെ കുലത്തിനും നിന്റെ സ്വഭാവത്തിനും യോജിച്ചതും അനുരൂപവുമാണ്. ധർമ്മത്തിൽ എന്റെ സഹധർമ്മചാരിണിയായി നീ നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് നീ എനിക്ക് പ്രാണങ്ങളേക്കാളും അധികം പ്രിയയാണ്.
But permit me, Devi, you have already stated, when a kshatriya holds a bow there will be no cry of distress. (it means you approve of my holding a bow)
