दशमः सर्गः — Rama’s Vow to Protect the Sages of Daṇḍaka

Dharma of Refuge

मया चैतद्वचश्श्रुत्वा कार्त्स्न्येन परिपालनम्।ऋषीणां दण्डकारण्ये संश्रुतं जनकात्मजे।।।।

mayā caitad vacaḥ śrutvā kārtsnyena paripālanam |

ṛṣīṇāṁ daṇḍakāraṇye saṁśrutaṁ janakātmaje ||

ഹേ ജനകാത്മജേ, അവരുടെ വാക്കുകൾ സമഗ്രമായി ശ്രവിച്ച ശേഷം ദണ്ഡകാരണ്യത്തിലെ ഋഷിമാരെ പൂർണ്ണമായും പരിപാലിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കാമെന്ന് ഞാൻ ഉറച്ച വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തു.
