मार्कंडेय उवाच । प्रयागे निवसंत्येते ब्रह्मविष्णुमहेश्वराः । कारणं तु प्रवक्ष्यामि शृणु तत्त्वं युधिष्ठिर

മാർക്കണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പ്രയാഗത്തിൽ ബ്രഹ്മാവും വിഷ്ണുവും മഹേശ്വരനും വസിക്കുന്നു. അതിന്റെ കാരണം ഞാൻ പറയും; ഹേ യുധിഷ്ഠിരാ, തത്ത്വം കേൾക്കുക।
