माहेश्वरपदे स्नात्वा वाजिमेधफलं लभेत् । तत्र कोटिस्तु तीर्थानां विश्रुता भरतर्षभ

ഹേ ഭാരതശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! മാഹേശ്വരപദത്തിൽ സ്നാനം ചെയ്താൽ അശ്വമേധയാഗഫലം ലഭിക്കുന്നു; കാരണം അവിടെ തീർത്ഥങ്ങളുടെ ‘കോടി’ പ്രസിദ്ധമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു.
