Unspecified (narrative voice within Svarga-khaṇḍa; exact dialogue speaker not provided in the input)

Concept: Holy water-rites performed in a sanctified river, joined to right intention, are declared to lead to the ‘supreme abode’ with unwavering certainty.

Application: Approach sacred acts with śraddhā and ethical preparation; even at home, emulate ‘kṛtodaka’ by beginning worship with ācamana and mental purification, remembering the Mandākinī/Gaṅgā as inner tīrtha.

FAQs

It states that the wise who perform the water-rite (holy bathing/ablution) in the Mandākinī are blessed and attain a supreme abode, with no room for doubt.

kṛtodakāḥ refers to those who have ‘done the udaka’—i.e., performed a sacred water act such as bathing, ablution, or ritually using water at a tīrtha.

The verse underscores faith in tīrtha-dharma and the purifying power of sincere ritual practice: a simple but devoted sacred act at a holy river is praised as leading to the highest goal.
