नमस्कारेण मंत्रेण कुर्याद्दानानि वै बुधः । दानं प्रधानं शूद्रस्य इत्याह भगवान्प्रभुः । दानेन सर्वकामाप्तिस्तस्य संजायते यतः

namaskāreṇa maṃtreṇa kuryāddānāni vai budhaḥ | dānaṃ pradhānaṃ śūdrasya ityāha bhagavānprabhuḥ | dānena sarvakāmāptistasya saṃjāyate yataḥ

ബുദ്ധിമാൻ നമസ്കാരമന്ത്രത്തോടുകൂടി ദാനങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യണം. ഭഗവാൻ പ്രഭു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു—ശൂദ്രനു ദാനമാണ് പ്രധാന ധർമ്മം; കാരണം ദാനത്തിലൂടെ അവനു സർവകാമസിദ്ധി ലഭിക്കുന്നു.
