Not explicitly identifiable from the single verse (context needed from surrounding verses in Adhyāya 9).

Concept: Perform śrāddha with what is available, without envy; correctness lies in sankalpa, purity of mind, and precise remembrance of name and gotra with kusa in hand.

Application: Do your duties without comparing resources; keep a written family record of names/gotra for rites; cultivate non-envy as a daily vrata of the mind.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A calm ritual moment: the performer holds a small bundle of darbha in the right hand, eyes lowered in concentration, as he recites the father’s name and gotra. Simple vessels are arranged neatly—some plain, some modestly silvered—showing that sincerity and order matter more than luxury.","primary_figures":["householder (yajamāna)"],"setting":"clean courtyard or prayer room with kusa bundles, small vessels, and a written gotra record on a palm-leaf manuscript","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["pale gold","earth brown","leaf green","chalk white","soft grey"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: yajamāna holding darbha with precise mudrā, palm-leaf manuscript nearby, vessels arranged in a row, gold-leaf halo around the performer to signify purity of sankalpa, rich red-green textiles, ornate border patterns, lamp and incense details.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: quiet courtyard at dawn, delicate rendering of kusa grass, soft architecture, the performer’s focused face, minimal objects arranged with elegance, cool shadows and warm sunrise wash, lyrical simplicity.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: stylized figure with bold outlines holding darbha, symmetrical placement of vessels and manuscript, flat pigment fields, dominant yellows/reds with green kusa accents, temple-wall compositional balance.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central figure holding darbha framed by floral borders and lotus motifs, ritual objects arranged like a mandala, deep blue background with gold linework, intricate textile patterns emphasizing discipline and order."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Bhupali","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["soft breath between mantras","rustle of kusa grass","single bell strike","distant birds at dawn","silence"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: यथालाभं = यथा + लाभम् (अव्ययीभाव); दिव्येति = दिव्या + इति; पितुर्नाम = पितुः + नाम; दर्भान्करे = दर्भान् + करे.

FAQs

It describes arranging ritual vessels as available, then placing darbha (kuśa) grass in the hand while stating the father’s name and gotra as part of a formal ritual utterance.

It frames ritual performance as an ethical act: one should proceed without jealousy or competitiveness, focusing on sincerity rather than display or comparison.

This particular verse is primarily procedural (ritual instruction). It does not directly discuss tīrtha geography or explicit bhakti theology in the line provided.
