This verse does not describe a specific tīrtha or sacred geography; it emphasizes a ritual act (tarpaṇa) and its moral-spiritual result—purification and attainment of Dharmarāja’s abode.
Rather than explicit bhakti, the verse highlights dharma through reverential service—honoring devas, Brahmins, and gurus. This respectful devotion and gratitude functions as a devotional ethic that supports spiritual uplift.
The ethical teaching is that honoring worthy recipients—divinities, learned Brahmins, and one’s teachers—through prescribed duties like tarpaṇa leads to inner purification and favorable post-mortem destiny under the governance of Dharmarāja.
