The Account and Merit of Śivadūtī

with the Nāga-tīrtha at Puṣkara

evamuktvā tato devī dadhyau tāsāṃ tu bhojanam | nādhyagacchattadā tāsāṃ bhojanaṃ cintitammahat

FAQs

After speaking, the Goddess contemplates arranging food for certain persons, but she is unable at that moment to procure the abundant meal she had in mind.

Not directly; it is primarily narrative. Indirectly, it highlights dependence on higher arrangement and the limits of immediate power even for exalted figures within a story.

Good intentions and planning (cintitam) do not always yield immediate results; one may need patience, further effort, or a change in means to fulfill responsibility toward others.
