ब्रह्मोवाच । जानामि बाष्कलिं तं तु वरदानाच्च गर्वितम् । अजेयं भवतां मन्ये विष्णुसाध्यो भविष्यति

brahmovāca | jānāmi bāṣkaliṃ taṃ tu varadānācca garvitam | ajeyaṃ bhavatāṃ manye viṣṇusādhyo bhaviṣyati

ബ്രഹ്മാവ് പറഞ്ഞു—വരദാനത്താൽ ഗർവിതനായ ആ ബാഷ്കലിയെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു. നിങ്ങളാൽ അവൻ അജേയനെന്ന് ഞാൻ കരുതുന്നു; അവൻ വിഷ്ണുവാൽ മാത്രമേ വശീകരിക്കപ്പെടൂ.
