Concept: All beings arise within a single cosmic order; the universe is bounded by elemental principles that condition embodied existence.

Application: See opponents and allies as co-inhabitants of one system; reduce hatred by remembering shared origin and shared constraints of the guṇas and elements.

FAQs

It refers to the primordial cosmic enclosure within which differentiated beings (gods, asuras, humans) manifest; it is then described as being bounded by successive elemental layers.

They represent the mahābhūtas (great elements) used in Purāṇic cosmology to describe how the manifest cosmos is structured and bounded by elemental principles.

It presents creation as an ordered emergence of living classes within a structured cosmos, where beings arise inside the brahmāṇḍa while the material framework is constituted by elemental principles.
