ब्रह्मणस्तेनवाक्येन हृष्टाः सर्वे द्विजोत्तमाः । को वरो याच्यतां विप्राः परितुष्टे पितामहे

brahmaṇastenavākyena hṛṣṭāḥ sarve dvijottamāḥ | ko varo yācyatāṃ viprāḥ parituṣṭe pitāmahe

ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ ആ വചനത്തിൽ എല്ലാ ശ്രേഷ്ഠ ദ്വിജരും ഹർഷിച്ചു. പിതാമഹൻ പ്രസന്നനായതിനാൽ—“ഹേ വിപ്രന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന വരം അപേക്ഷിക്കൂ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു।
