FAQs

It lists key components of a Vedic sacrifice (yajña): rites (havana, savana), personnel (hotṛ), offerings (havya, caru), and ritual equipment (vessels, purifiers, altar, ladle), along with consecration (dīkṣā).

'Caru' is a cooked sacrificial porridge offered into the fire, and 'sruva' is the ladle/spoon used to pour offerings into the sacred fire.

The verse underscores that sacred action is structured and disciplined: intention is expressed through correct rites, purity, and proper means—suggesting reverence, order, and responsibility in religious practice.
