Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A stylized genealogical tree unfurls across the scene like a sacred vine, each name inscribed on lotus-petals: Sahasrajit, Jyeṣṭha, Kroṣṭā, Nīloñjika, Raghu. At the base, Sahasrajit hands a royal seal to Śatajit, symbolizing rightful succession.","primary_figures":["Sahasrajit","Śatajit","Genealogical sages (symbolic scribes)"],"setting":"A manuscript-atelier within an ashram—ink pots, palm leaves, and a ceremonial throne-seat kept modestly to the side.","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["parchment beige","ink black","royal blue","saffron","soft gold"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: central enthroned Sahasrajit with gold-leaf halo passes a jeweled signet to Shatajit; surrounding them, lotus medallions contain the other names in Devanagari-like calligraphy. Rich reds/greens, embossed gold borders, ornate crowns and jewelry, symmetrical composition.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: a gentle court-asrama blend—kings in refined attire, a scribe-rishi recording names on palm leaves. Subtle pastel palette, delicate linework, lyrical trees and distant hills, emphasis on quiet succession rather than spectacle.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: iconic figures with bold outlines; Sahasrajit and Shatajit in frontal stance, the genealogy shown as a lotus-vine border with name-panels. Natural pigments, strong reds/yellows/greens, temple-wall clarity and decorative rhythm.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: genealogy rendered as an ornate lotus creeper border; central vignette of royal succession framed by floral motifs and peacocks. Deep blue background with gold and white lotuses, intricate textile patterning, devotional ornamental density."}

FAQs

It continues a genealogical sequence, preserving names of rulers/descendants and linking a royal line through succession (Sahasrajit → Śatajit).

Not directly; it functions primarily as dynastic record-keeping. In Purāṇic structure, such lists contextualize later narratives about dharma, kingship, and sacred history.

Śatajit is explicitly called the dāyāda (heir/descendant) of Sahasrajit and is described as a pārthiva (king).
