Vajrapāṇi (Indra)

FAQs

This verse does not discuss tīrthas or sacred geography; it focuses on a plea for protection and the subsequent defeat of those marked for death by Vajrapāṇi (Indra).

It models devotional dependence through direct supplication—asking the addressed lord to become their protector and remove hostile power—reflecting a core bhakti posture of surrender and seeking refuge.

It underscores the idea that aggression and hostility ultimately collapse when confronted by rightful divine or righteous power, while those seeking protection are encouraged to rely on dharmic guardianship rather than vengeance alone.
